Fresh FIR against KM Mani: story in 5 points

1. The vigilance filed a fresh FIR against former Kerala finance minister K.M. Mani on Wednesday.
2. It is alleged that Mani caused loss to the tune of Rs 200 crore to state exchequer.
3. Mani allegedly granted tax relaxations to Ayurvedic cosmetic companies and waived a fine of Rs 64 crore imposed on Thomson Group, a poultry import company in Thrissur.
4. The FIR is on the basis of a complaint filed by lawyer Noble Mathew, a former Kerala Congress leader and a BJP state panel member now. 5. Mani rubbished the allegations and said he was being framed in the case by Vigilance director Jacob Thomas.
