Major revelation: 35-member gang propagates ISIS ideology in Kerala, say police
Kannur: The Kerala police have found that a 35-member gang was propagating ideology of terrorist outfit Islamic State (ISIS) in the state through social media.
The gang has been spreading views supporting the terror group publicly through Facebook. It has been found that all the 35 persons had got training from a salafi religious center in Yemen years ago, Manorama News reported Tuesday.
The police have identified all of them and are tracking their moves on social media. It is found that they spread their ideology using original and fake identities.

They have been contacting each other but do not want to form a group. It is believed that the 21 persons who have gone missing from Kasaragod and Palakkad districts were linked to those belonging to the gang.
Two religious preachers in Kannur district who are believed to have links with the gang, are also under the police scanner.
According to police, over 50 people from Kerala have so far joined ISIS, a matter the home department is looking at seriously.
