Los Angeles Airport police are investigating unconfirmed reports of an active shooter inside the airport premises. The police agency has said the reports of a gunman were unconfirmed and there was no reason to panick. “Police searching LAX after reports. All precautions being taken to ensure safety of public. Remain calm. Thank you for your cooperation.”

The airport’s Twitter handle said sections of the terminal were closed for passengers at the moment as police searches are underway. “Upper/Departures & Lower/Arrivals levels of Central Terminal Area (CTA) closed.”
