Now, Airtel unveils ‘Mega Saver Pack’

Bharti Airtel has announced the launch of Mega Saver Pack for prepaid users in India. There’s a half-yearly pack and a yearly pack. Users can recharge for Rs 1,498 to access 1GB 4G/3G data with a validity of 28 days. Once users exceed this data limit, they can recharge at Rs 51 monthly for 1GB 4G/3G data pack for over a period of 12 months. According to Airtel, there is no limit on the number of recharges during the period. Higher the number of recharges the more value a customer gets. The Rs 748 pack offers 1GB 4G/3G data valid for 28 days. Next, users can recharge at Rs 99 monthly for 1GB 4G/3G data pack over a period of six months.
“At Airtel, we are constantly innovating to provide superior experience and great value to our customers. With these innovative packs, we are redefining the value proposition on our data packs and allowing our customers get a lot more within the same budget,” Ajai Puri, Director – Operations (India & South Asia), Bharti Airtel said. The data packs are currently available in Delhi. The offer will roll out for other circles by Aug 31.
Airtel, in July, slashed data prices to up to 67 per cent for 3G/4G packs. Idea Cellular and Vodafone also slashed mobile internet rates to offer more value to the customers on their 4G, 3G and 2G data packs. With the new scheme, Idea users can get up to 45 per cent more data benefits on sachet packs below 1 GB.

Reliance Jio Infocomm may be months away from rolling out its 4G services in India, but rivals have already started slashing their data pack prices in retaliation. Reliance Jio is currently beta testing 4G and claims to have over 1.5 million users on it. Also, the Reliance Jio Preview offer has been extended to several brands including Samsung, LG, Panasonic, YU and Micromax, Gionee, Lava, and Karbonn.
