Burka-wearing women strike fear in ISIS' hearts, terror outfit bans the dress
In a turn of events, ISIS has now banned the burka, an all-covering outer garment, in its offices in northern Iraq calling it a security risk though the women were once forced to wear it in public.
The decision to outlaw burka came after a number of ISIS commanders and members were killed by veiled women in the past months. Previously, women in ISIS controlled areas have been beaten and killed by 'morality police' for not wearing burka or covering their faces with veils.
According to Al Alam News Network, the terror group has banned women wearing the veils in security offices in Mosul, Iraq. But all other areas controlled by ISIS, will still have to follow the burqa rule. Recent reports had pictured women in territoies freed from ISIS celebrating their liberation by burning burkas.
Recently, French authorities tried to outlaw the burkini, a Muslim swim wear that angered Muslims, feminists and civil liberties campaigners. French court later suspended the ban stating that the ban violates basic freedom.
