Missing man found murdered in manure pit in Mundakayam

Mundakkayam: A man, who went missing a week ago, was found murdered in Mundakkayam in Kottayam district Monday.

The body of 45-year-old Aravindakshan, an estate watcher in Mundakkayam, was found dumped in a pit for cow dung.

Police, who confirmed that Aravindakshan was murder, have taken a suspect into custody.

The detained man was employed at the same estate where Aravindakshan was working. They both used to consume liquor together.

Police suspect that a scuffle during one such drinks party led to the murder.

The Mundakkayam police had launched an investigation after Aravindakshan's family members complained to the cops that he went missing.
