These 'tech-savvy' students stuffed ganja in their mobile phones!

Thodupuzha: Looks like the new generation of Kerala is putting their digital knowledge to practical uses, but not in a way you could smile upon.
Excise officials in Vandiperiyar foiled attempt by three students to smuggle 230gm of ganja by stuffing the contraband inside three mobile phones. Tablets, which are used as drugs, were also seized from the youths during an inspection conducted in Kumily on Saturday night.
Four people, including three students, were arrested. The ganja was found stuffed inside the mobile phones, after removing the batteries. 
Jijo George, an accused in cases of drug trafficking, robbery as well as attacking the police, was among the arrested. In the fight he put up against the excise officers, two got injured. Two of his accomplices—Bijoy, Sawad Sulaiman managed to escape.
As many as 11 drug tablets were also seized from the students. The detainees confessed to the officials that the ganja and the tablets were procured from Kambam in Tamil Nadu.
