VS gets an office on 100th day of Pinarayi government
Thiruvananthapuram: Hundred days into the Chief Minister’s office, Pinarayi Vijayan has allotted an office for his senior comrade V.S. Achuthanandan inside the secretariat annex. The government has set the terms of reference for the Administrative Reforms Commission, to be led by the former Chief Minister.Achuthanandan is expected to take charge as the chairman of the commission next week. He may move into Kowdiar House, currently allotted to Electricity Minister Kadakampally Surendran.
Though the cabinet decided on the formation of an Administrative Reforms Commission on August 3, the terms of reference were not set. Former Chief Secretaries C.P. Nair and Neela Gangadharan are the other members of the commission. The commission will work out of the fourth floor of the second annex.
Kerala has had three administrative reforms commission, led by Chief Ministers EMS Namboodiripad, E.K. Nayanar and ICS officer M.K. Vellodi.
